"Jumpers" (Review – B)

I enjoyed “Jumpers” and it was basically worth the money I paid to get into the theater. I was expecting it to be a little more tense and superhero’y than it was. The acting was good. The effects were good. The script/plot OK.

It felt like there was a lot missing. Especially explanations about the hunters and why the Jumper’s ability manifests. The answers they do provide seem rather trite and contrived – enough to provide the required answer for the movie.

All in all I liked it.

I Passed the Real Esate Sales Test

I spent an average of 5 1/2 hours of studying each night for the last 7 days. That combined with about 150 hours previously studied the last time Tanya was in Belarus (returning Halloween of last year) had me pass the threshold into licensedom. The culmination of something like 190 hours of study and I am finally done. Well almost. It seems that there are portions of the online course I still need to finish in order to get my certificate of course completion which is required for licensing.

When I completed the test last night in about half the total alloted time and was going to get the results I was not so sure that I would pass. There were some issues with not having a calendar handy and having to remember how many days there are in each month, more about and I did not study the specific information on licensing. I did not see the information about being licensed in the course materials specifically, orthopedist so that all made me really nervous. When she told me that I passed I was stunned and almost did not believe it. =)

A great weight has been lifted from my shoulders and is now replaced with another – What to do next? Shall I spend some time working for a broker to learn the ropes, or should I jump right in and start studying for the Broker’s Exam? Oh the problems I have. =)

Real Estate Sales License Exam

I have scheduled my exam for for Real Estate Sales License in about 2 weeks. I am taking it now just to get a feel for it so I can take it again later. Last night I took Chapter 1 and 2’s (of 24 14) practice tests and I scored 83% and 72% on them. I need a 70% on the actual test to pass, tadalafil so it looks like I am doing OK so far. I have found some things that I need to brush up on.

I spent a few months studying while Tanya was last away to Belarus working on the last year of her degree. I read through the book once to get a good feel for it as well as some perspective, this web and then I went through it again while highlighting important passages. Now I will go through it the 3rd time and then take the test. I am hoping to pass it so I do not have to worry about and I can move on to other plans.

We shall see how that works out. =)

Step Up 2 – The Streets (Review -C+)

We went to see ‘Step Up 2 – The Streets‘ (Su2-tS) for International Womens Day. I really liked it (for a dance movie).

This movie is for all of the freaks and geeks in the world who are not afraid of being who you are, about it and standing up for what you believe. Su2-tS is movie whose plot is nothing really special, but some of the characters drew me in and wanted to know more. The dancing was of the break-dancing sort and it was great to watch.

What we did for ‘International Womens Day’

We have ordered 2 older IPods – one for me to work out with and one for Tanya to travel to Belarus and potentially for Yoga. I also ordered for Tanya a memory improvement CD set which she has been wanting. I brought flowers and some candy for her as well.

In the morning Tanya taught Yoga and then we went to eat at IHOP where she loves their Blintzes. After that we went home and watched some TV. Later on that night we went to see the movie ‘Step Up 2 – The Streets”. Good movie – more on that in another post. To end that day we went to Kahunaville for a little dancing and then to bed. A good day.

Happy International Womens Day!

To all of you ladies out there “Happy International Womens Day”. For my beautiful Belarussian wife this is one of the biggest holidays for women in Belarus. It is a powerful holiday all throughout the former Soviet Republics.

Definitely, Maybe (Review – B)

This is NOT really a chick-flick. After not reading any reviews or plot summary we expected a chick-flick and this is not quite that. It was either this or ‘Step Up 2’. I opted for this due to the renaissance setting.

This movie, side effects based in renaissance England, mind is steeped in lies, recipe intrigue, lust, and plotting, and shows the true end to duplicity for an ambitious family at court.

The acting was passionate and believable. The soundtrack, which I pretty much never notice, was moving.

Thankfully we will be seeing ‘Jumper’ this weekend. =)

A touching romantic film that highlights the trials and tribulations of relationships, buy as well as the journey to love, as a father tries to explain to his 11 year old daughter how he and her mother met.

I say it was a good chick-flick and Tanya says it was OK. What do I know? =)
